Catch the Tiger Spirit

Mission—

In the spring of 2023, Athletic Booster’s Catch the Tiger Spirit Campaign was born with the main goal to improve school spirit for our athletes at Tucker. Our hope: That we continue to increase price in our athletic program and our athletes -- and create more tiger fans every year.  

2024-2025 Year in Review—

Thanks to the continued generosity of donors, we continue to accomplish so much for our school spirit and athletic programs:

• Free admission for all Tucker students to our over 175 home games throughout the entire 2024-25 school year. Thank you to Mr. Raymond and Coach Heizer for supporting our efforts to make this happen for our students. Special thanks to this year's generous donors:

As a result of our efforts, we saw student attendance at games and Athletic Booster's concession sales continue to increase. The best result though has been knowing that all students can join the fun at games and cheer on their friends without having to worry about how to pay for it.Athletic Boosters hopes that we can again coordinate the efforts to offer free admission to students next year. If you would like to support this cause, please consider these options:

• 1. • Sponsor student admissions: Make a donation of $500 or more towards our $10,000 goal to replace student gate proceeds and allow students free admission to all 2025-26 home sporting events. Make checks payable to J.R. Tucker High School with Athletics Donation-Catch the Tiger Spirit Campaign in the notes section.

     • Purchase advertising for your business: Buy banner(s) for the stadium of your choice: $350 per 3’x8’ banner hung for 2025-26 school year. (Purchase banner here)

•  Facilitated game giveaways and other incentives for students to attend athletic events, including t-shirt throws, gift cards for halftime competitions, and other items. Thank you to:

• Recognized zone and centers at home football games. A huge shout out to all of the students who supported these events including tailgates before their game and recognition at halftime!

• Organized contests at games like the Halfcourt Shot and Crossbar Challenge at basketball and soccer games. Congratulations to our gift card winners!

• Coordinated 139 senior banners for our athletes, up from 131 last year, the second year this has been done consistently across all sports.
